Whiskey Island 3K by 2 Sunset Relay 2010

Established in 2009, Cleveland Plays Racing is a subsidiary of the hugely popular sport and social club, Cleveland Plays, Inc.

This race was established in 2009 by Kate after she played beach volleyball at Whiskey Island through Cleveland Plays, Inc from 2000-2005 and attended the Burning River Festival in 2008. 'It seemed like the ideal place for a XC race and reminded me of Northwestern University's XC course, where I competed, on Lake Michigan. I wanted to take the runners down the pier and to the old coast guard station to see the fantastic views of downtown and the west side lake front. The sunset over the Whiskey Island Harbor is one of the best in town.'

2-person teams, each person is $20, 1st person runs 3k, tags partner and 2nd person runs 3k

Packet Pick-up:

Wed. 28th – Second Sole Lyndhurst, 6-8PM

Thurs. 29th – Second Sole Rocky River, 6-8PM

Race day – Whiskey Island beginning at 4:30PM

Race Day registration is $25 starting at 4:30pm

Fee includes complimentary gift and post race party.

10% of race registration is split between the 1st place teams in each team category—male, female, and coed.

Combined age group awards are gift certificates to the Sunset Grill

Whiskey Island is located off Route 2 right next to Edgewater Park

$2 non-refundable registration fee is added to the entry fee
